Avila Bay, California

Made the move from Thornbill Broome campground to Avila Bay near Pismo Beach. A little breezy on the way up but beautiful (for March) here. Everyone said that finding a spot would be no problem but we were very lucky to get the last one facing the bay.

We are third from the left on the ocean level. They guy next to me has his curtains closed, go figure, it's not like anyone in a boat a 300 yards away could see anything?

Nice pier called Harford Wharf in the Port of San Luis very near to the camping with three restaurants.

Trondheim seagull
Seagulls make their nests on the ground. They love to feed upon live food such as crab and small fish. Seagulls are coastal birds and don't like to venture far out to sea. Seagulls are highly intelligent birds and demonstrate complex methods of communication such as: attacking predators and intruders, coexist with humans.

I'm a happy camper being on the coast. Like when we had our boat in San Diego, we never had a bad day...rain or shine.

"You looking at me"? I SAID, "are you looking at me"!

Too bad I'm not a free lance PC guru, this is a great spot to sit in the coach and do some updating.

Evening sun going down on the boats at anchor.

Had to add this Moon rise over the bay seeing that my wife's maiden name is Moon.

Great, looks like fun, a bit of history there at Avila beach and the oil industry.
