A salute to my mom and dad...on what would of been dads 94th.

    Charlene Louise Zwart

Mom was born in 1924 and died in 1978 at the young age of 54, ...much too young.

No doubt about it, mom was a looker.

After three of six kids, mom still looks great.

Dad was born in 1919 and passed away in 2007 and would of been 94 today. Dad was lucky to have lived long enough to see all of his kids grow to become happy and successful.

Here below is a short photo essay of their lives and loved ones.

Dad is the only one wearing glasses.

Because of moms early passing, she missed out on most of her kids growth, her grandkids and her great grandkids 1st grade parties, birthdays and holidays.

The early years with mom, dad, Jackie, Jeanne, Tommy and my great grandma Carter, who lived into her 90's.

Mom and Jeanne in the early 50's.

Dads influence on my life was enormous, he had integrity, was extremely wise and his common sense was off the scale. I may not of always understood it at the time... but eventually I caught on.

Mom, Jackie and Chrissy in the 60's.

Mom and Chrissy, the year before she passed away in 1978.

Dad with # 1 son Jack in 2005.

Dad,  daughter Jeanne, granddaughter Jacque and great granddaughter Donnille at dads place in Valencia.

Mom is sending her child off to war.

Mom and my Opoe (dads mom) in 1977...sadly, both would be gone in less than two years.

One of the last photos I have of mom that I can share...love you always!

Opa lived 29 years longer than our mom and got to see his grandchildren grow and develop

Dad with his beautiful daughters.

One of my favorite photos of dad enjoying the sun, on my brothers back porch, and Kaleah's company.

Mom and daughter-in-law Dayle in the late 70's.

Dad agreed on caddying for Donna and I.

Mom and her younger sister Ardelle in the late 30's.

Dad with grandson Denny, great-granddaughter Ashley and me.

Dad with the son Joe. I often think of dad when talking to Joe because he seems to have dads intelligence, patience and common sense.

What a great time we had at dads Hawaiian themed birthday party. Here is dad with nearly all of his grandkids.

Mom and dad took us kids to Yosemite many times starting in the 1940's. It was good to see him with his grandson Jason on a return trip the same park.

Dad, with his kids in the late 1980's.

Here we are again in 2005.

Mom and dad's wedding on November 20th 1942.

Happy 94th dad we love you... and give mom our love from us all.

I am proof positive that with good "genes" as a base it's very hard to screw up the receipt.
