Irrigon Produce

July in Irrigon, Oregon along the Columbia River is a superb time if you are into fruits and vegetables. Donna and I love both love the produce but my best friend would starve to death...he hates both.

All the fruits and vegetables are locally grown in the summer. When you go to a farmers market here it is much different than the ones in Las Vegas. In Las Vegas, 90 percent of the products sold at a farmers market would be leather goods, wooden trinkets and tons of other non-editable items. Here, it's just the opposite...90 percent locally grown editable produce.  yippee!

Some of the locally grown produce that we have taken advantage of.
Potatoes, cantaloupe, apricots, and red onions.

Beets, walla walla onions, lemon cucumbers, green and yellow zucchini, crook-neck squash, peaches, corn and a plethora of wild berries.
