Oregon Coast

We are staying at Wilson River RV camp near Tillamook. Most of our neighbors are clammers, crabbers or salmon fishermen. We have seen some of the bounty from the bay, it's unreal....next year!

Here are a bunch of boats, hoping for the salmon to start running.

We moved in the park on the day of the "pig feast".

Jim was showing us how the pig is cooked with just heat on top of the wooden box. The trash can has a load of hot coals that transfer the heat to box.

About 12 hours later this beautiful brown pig greets everyone.

The campers all brought a side dish and whatever they wanted to drink for the feast.

I stuck to a vegetarian diet of grape juice that night...:-)

The next night, the reason for our Oregon visit came to see us. Jason, Lisa and Riley visited for a hamburger dinner the night before RiRi's 4th birthday.

Riley helped Opa get the camp site all set up...:-)

Three generations of "big time" fisherman heading out to do damage!

Dad showing my grandson the way across the Wilson River.

Almost 4 years old and trying to be older yet? ha ha

Tillamook Bay

An interesting photo my wife took of the Oregon coast.

We were first in a line and I jokingly mentioned to Monica
that my wife could do this job. She pulls out a card for her husbands construction company that trains and hires flaggers. Monica talked to us for about fifteen minutes about the dangers of flagging.

It's beautiful the way the fog moves in and out of the coastal valley's.
